Taff's Well - 'Walnut Tree Viaduct Totem'
Medium: Oil on Canvas Ref: KWA23/OOC
This is Kevin's second oil painting of the Walnut Tree Viaduct 'totem' still standing in Taff's Well. A reminder of David Davies' unrelenting persistence in getting around the coal rail transport cartel. It was built by his Chief Engineer Sir James Szlumper and completed in 1901 before finally being dismantled at the end of its use in 1969 and remains a testament to man's vision, drive and ingenuity.
